Physicians
The pain doctors, Dr Castille, Dr Decaigny and Dr Vander Cruyssen, have, in addition to their work as anaesthetists, specialised in pain management and will implement the treatments that have been requested by the referring physician.
However, if you have been referred for a consultation or advice, pain management therapy will be proposed based on questions, a physical examination and any imaging (NMR, CT scan, X-rays, bone scan, etc.)

Our secretariat is your first point of contact. In addition to managing your appointments, they support the physicians in their administrative work. You can contact them with your practical questions in relation to treatments, certificates, etc.
The secretariat can be contacted on +32 (0)9 246 17 50, from Monday to Thursday between 8am and 6pm and Friday between 8am and 4.30pm.
Pain Centre Nursing Team
The nurses have specific training in the evaluation and treatment of (chronic) pain. They will assist you before, during and after the treatment. You can contact them with any questions you may have about the treatment.
Pain consultants
Pain consultants are specialised pain nurses. They are always available to follow up on patients who are dealing with pain during their stay in hospital. They do so in close collaboration with the physicians and nurses on the ward and the pain physicians.
