- A prescription for blood drawing from your attending physician or GP (unless he or she has sent this electronically)

Opening hoursYou can visit our healthcare sites for a blood test during opening hours. There is no need to book an appointment for this. You do need a prescription for a blood test from your attending physician or GP.
However, an appointment is required for venesection, function and sugar tests.

How can I sign up?
How can I sign up?- Sign up at an e-kiosk in our entrance hall (atrium) from 7.45am-6.45pm. Read here how to register with the e-kiosk.
- You will receive a ticket with a serial number
- Take a seat in the waiting area hall
- When your number appears on the screens, please head to the area for blood drawing
- Register at an e-kiosk in the entrance hall. Read here how to register with the e-kiosk.
- You will receive some patient stickers which you will deliver to the staff member who takes the blood sample.
- Follow route 61 to the laboratory on the third floor and sign in.
- Sign up at the e-kiosk in our entrance hall
- Take a seat at waiting area 4 on the ground floor
- When your number appears on the screens, a nurse will come to collect you.
- Check in at the information desk.
Delivery of samples
Delivery of samplesYou can visit the clinical laboratory 24/24 for sample delivery (e.g. urine) unless a blood sample is also required.
- Maria Middelares General Hospital: clinical laboratory - gate A floor -1.
- St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze: clinical laboratory - route 61.
- Medical Centre in Aalter: turn to the information desk.
- Medical Centre in Gentbrugge: turn to reception.
Results
ResultsYou can only obtain your test results through your attending physician or GP. Contacting our department is pointless, we are not allowed to communicate these results.
