The maternity unit consists of an obstetrics unit, a neonatal unit and a postpartum (after the birth) unit.
This is where mothers-to-be are taken care of, both in cases of caesarean section and natural birth. The labour and delivery section has its own operating theatre for this purpose.
The Neonatology Unit provides specific care for premature (born too early) babies, or newborns with special conditions.
