Reimbursement

Reimbursement

Psychological services are included in our hospitals' global services for some patients. This is the case for patients admitted in the context of psychiatry, paediatrics, oncology and internal liaison geriatrics.

Psychological support for cardiac rehabilitation is not only provided for inpatients but also as part of outpatient aftercare during the rehabilitation period. Palliative care patients are also offered psychological services. For primary psychology (consultations/group offerings), a reimbursement system is provided through agreements with health insurance funds (government).

All other patients will be charged for consultations in case of psychological intervention, diagnostics and/or support or therapy. Since 1 October 2009, patients trying to give up smoking are partially reimbursed by the mandatory health insurance. Various health insurance funds now intend to provide partial financial compensation under certain conditions for other patients too, especially for children and adolescents under the age of 18.
