Patients who are new to the Neurosurgery Department are only seen when there is a written doctor’s referral, and preferably with recent medical imaging results The main goal is to determine whether the patient will benefit from or needs a surgical procedure.
For patients who are already registered with the Neurosurgery Department, we also request that a written doctor’s referral be provided unless the patient has had a surgical procedure within the last 12 months within our Neurosurgery Department.

- The National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (NIHDI) no longer permits certificates and prescriptions to be either requested or provided by e-mail. Please make an appointment to request or pick up certificates or prescriptions, as these can only be prepared during a consultation.
Not covered by agreement with the health insurance fund
In principle, the physician can always charge a supplementary fee for consultations or examinations in the outpatients clinic.
