For the surgical treatment of neurological disorders, you can refer to our Neurosurgery Department. In many cases, this involves procedures on the nervous system (brain, spinal cord and nerves) or procedures on the skull and vertebral column. The service offers the most modern treatments where quality of care and patient satisfaction are always paramount.
About us
Due to the enormous technological evolutions of the last decades, the safety, precision and possibilities of neurosurgical operations have strongly increased. Examples include the surgical microscope, neuronavigation, imaging techniques, pre-operative CT, immunofluorescence, ultrasonic aspiration and endoscopy.
If necessary, multidisciplinary cooperation will take place. This is applied to tumours (in collaboration with the Oncology Department) and to patients with complex back and pain problems.
