IVF

What is it?

This treatment brings us one step closer to bringing together the sperm cells and the ovulum. The woman is stimulated with hormones in order to simultaneously ripen multiple ovula. At just the right moment, the ripe ovula are collected using a puncture (ovulum pick-up). In the laboratory, these are then combined with the male sperm, allowing the strongest sperm to fertilise the ovulum (natural selection).

Results

If the IVF treatment results in embryos, these are inserted into the uterus after three or five days, depending on their quality. This treatment is completely painless.
