Toxic hepatitis

What is it?

Some chemical substances (medications, some natural or industrial substances, alcohol and other substances) can also cause an inflammatory reaction in the liver cells.

If this inflammatory reaction continues, liver fibrosis and liver cirrhosis may also develop in this situation after many years. Patients must also be closely monitored in this case.

Treatment?

Interrupting the causative chemical often stops the toxic hepatitis.
