Patients or accident victims who have an urgent medical problem or a life-threatening situation are offered first aid and treatment at the Accident and Emergency Department (A&E).
A&E treats a large range and variety of conditions. Children, adults and older people may receive help across several specialist medical areas.
There is a parking area on the same level as the A&E entrance, where those accompanying the patients may park for a brief time while their family member is receiving treatment.
What you need to bring:
When you come to A&E, please check in at the department's reception desk with the following documents:
- your identity card
- if required, a referral letter from your GP or specialist
- if required, insurance certificates (e.g. for work-, sports- or school-related cases)
