Cardiac Surgery
The Cardiosurgery department at Maria Middelares General Hospital is responsible for the operative treatment of heart diseases. If heart surgery is indicated, the cardiologist will refer the patient to the cardiosurgeon.
The Surgery Department is part of Surgery in Ghent and the Heart Centre of Ghent.
You are in good hands with the experts of our cardiac surgery team. Every year the department performs about 700 heart surgeries.
