In the Infectious Diseases Department, we treat patients who have been admitted with serious or complicated infections. We see several problems during our consults. These may entail complex infections, unexplained or inexplicable fever and/or suspected immunodeficiency (improperly functioning immune system).
Diagnosing and treating complaints of fatigue and unexplained physical symptoms does not lie within our area of expertise.
