Life after a stroke

In Belgium, approximately 60 people a day suffer a stroke (brain haemorrhage or cerebral infarction). Anyone can suffer a stroke, including young people. After a stroke, all attention is initially focused on survival and recovery. It is only after that initial phase that the patient, as well as the people around them, start learning to live with the effects of a stroke.

Experts from Maria Middelares General Hospital and St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze want to answer the many questions that arise. Several topics will be covered in a free information session. Registration is required.

TARGET GROUP

The target group for these information sessions are patients of Maria Middelares General Hospital and St Vincent General Hospital in Deinze and their informal carers or close relatives.
