Soon you will come to AZ Maria Middelares or AZ Sint-Vincentius Deinze for hip or knee surgery.
You may be asking yourself a lot of questions about this:
- How will my admission and the operation go?
- How will the anaesthesia work?
- Where will I stay?
- What will rehabilitation be like?
Our team will answer all these and other questions in an information session: the hip and knee class at AZ Maria Middelares or the hip and knee forum at AZ Sint-Vincentius Deinze. Together with some fellow patients, this will give you an insight into the entire process: from your admission until you return home.
Of course, you can bring your partner or another close person to the hip and knee class.
For whom?
Patients of AZ Maria Middelares and AZ Sint-Vincentius Deinze who will soon undergo hip or knee surgery.
When.
We organise this information session several times a year, both in AZ Maria Middelares and in AZ Sint-Vincentius Deinze. Each time, the same 'lesson' is on the agenda. In other words, you only have to take part once.
Where.
- AZ Maria Middelares, Buitenring Sint-Denijs 30, 9000 Ghent. Register via the e-kiosk in the entrance hall. Your ticket will show the exact location in the hospital building.
- AZ Sint-Vincentius Deinze, Schutterijstraat 34, 9800 Deinze.
Cost
Participation is free but registration is required.

Pre-admission
If you could not yet complete your admission file at our pre-admission service (at AZ Maria Middelares) or pre-admission (at AZ Sint-Vincentius Deinze), you can do so after your information session. Be sure to bring results of any examinations prior to the procedure. If you have already completed the digital questionnaire via MijnMariaMiddelares, you do not need to do so again.
