Please check in before your consultation at the Eye Clinic:
- Maria Middelares General Hospital: use your identity card to check in at the e-kiosk
Course of the consultation
After you have checked in at the e-kiosk, please check in at desk G1a. You will have your first eye measurement there. Then, please take a seat in the waiting room until you are called in for your consultation with the eye doctor.
What you need to bring:
- identity card
- GP referral letter (if applicable)
- eye medication, glasses and/or contact lenses
The eye doctor may put eye drops in your eyes during the consultation that make it difficult to drive a vehicle. Please arrange for someone to come with you and take care of you.
For consultations at Maria Middelares General Hospital or the Maria Middelares Medical Centre, you will receive an invoice from the hospital. This will usually take one to two months after your appointment. Read more about this invoice here.
If you visit one of our other (private) clinics for a consultation, then you can pay using Bancontact at the secretariat.
If, after the consultation and any further examinations, it appears that eye surgery is necessary, a suitable schedule will be drawn up together with the secretarial assistant. On the day of the procedure, first check in at the Admissions Department.
For a procedure, you will be given either a local or a general anaesthetic.
