Maria Middelares selected for 6 innovation projects FOD Public Health
With the innovation budget, the Federal Public Service for Health wants to encourage hospitals to roll out innovative digital applications in care and exchange expertise. Hospitals that want to claim the budget had the opportunity to submit one or more projects for this together with various care partners.
We received the pleasant news that six projects in which we participate were selected.
These are projects about, among other things:
- the use of smart devices for more effective and cost-efficient diabetes education
- the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for clear consultation and hospitalization reports
- the use of AI to support caregivers in nursing homes in triaging residents in nursing homes (differential diagnosis)
- the use of smart glasses (smart glasses that can record data and facilitate the exchange between care providers) in emergencies for higher efficiency and patient-centered approach
- the development of a model in which AI supports the follow-up of patients at home (exchange of data, real-time data about the patient's condition ... )
Further information about these projects will follow.
