Patients who are new to the Neurosurgery Department are only seen when there is a written physician’s referral, and preferably with recent medical imaging results. The main goal is to determine whether the patient will benefit from or needs a surgical procedure.

For patients who are already registered with the Neurosurgery Department, we also request that a written physician’s referral be provided unless the patient has had a surgical procedure within the last 12 months within our Neurosurgery Department.
